Alexander Zaitsev and Ilya Baramiya - members of electronic duo EU met Mikhail Fenichev member of hip-hop band «Province» and decided to do something together. They named new formation – 2h Company and took a forth member Mikhail Ilin as back vocalist. First track was recorded and released in 2001 on compilation «Out to city 2». Nobody was really happy with the result and for real history of 2Í Company started in 2004 when St. Petersburg based Cheburec label released debut album called «Psychosurgeons». Conjunction of surrealistic lyrics with unusual sense of humor written on excellent Russian language and experimental electronic music received favorable noticed in the media. 2Í Company were featured MTV Russia and most of Russian musical magazines named “Psychosurgeons» one of most significant event of the year. Heavy concert activity of the band started from that point. Besides frequent performances in St. Petersburg and Moscow clubs 2Í Company took part of different festivals like AVANT (Moscow), Shrinking Cities (Berlin), Kazantip (Ukraine), Nokia Lab (St. Petersburg) and was the first hip-hop band who played on biggest rock festival in Russia «Nashestvie». In 2005 2Í Company signed on famous Russian record label Snegiri (www.snegiri.ru) which re-released debut album. New album planned for release in spring 2007. download «The Moscow Times» issue
